Unfortunately I have to warn not to buy shoes from proalp. I returned shoes there over a month ago and while the company confirmed the return and said they’d issue a refund. Still haven’t received the money in spite of a lot of email correspondence.
Thank you for your blog! I stumbled across it on Pinterest when looking for bunion relief and had never heard of barefoot shoes. I’m Australian and like to buy within country, so options are a little limited, but I have found Shapen, Ruby, your Huaraches, and Be Lenka (I definitely like my shoes to be pretty) and have completely switched to barefoot shoes. I see many comments about your list missing many regional retailers. I’m in Houston, and I can do an online search to see that locally I can find 5 retailers selling Altra (Fleet Feet, Woodlands Running Co., Run On!, Academy and REI (who also sells Xero). I realize that such a list would be time consuming hence difficult to maintain, thus I’d advise online searches for particular local retailers when looking for particular brands.
Large brands like Altra often have a “Find a Retailer” option on their website that is an excellent idea to use.
