Meet the new girl in town

If you’ve been pining for some elegance in your comfy, foot-shaped shoe collection then the Woven Ballerina is for you. The leather upper is handwoven by skilled artisans in Mexico (like our traditional Huarache line), and is light, breathable, and chic. I love the extra something it adds to my outfits – these are compliment worthy, whether you’re into barefoot shoes or not.

Currently they come in two colors – toffee and gold. And like the Huarache line that we launched in 2023, these are ethically produced in small batches. This means we may sell out at times, BUT we will continually restock. And the wait is worth it!

Sizing & Fit
The Woven Ballerinas come in one width but run on the slightly roomy side. So they are wider than your standard barefoot shoe, but don’t have quite enough toe space to be considered extra wide friendly.
- True to size, unless you have slim low volume feet – in that case you might want to go down a half size.
- Wide fit
- Medium volume – the straps can be adjusted on my low volume feet, and can open up for medium to slightly high volume.
The Woven Ballerina should be a good fit for most foot types, except for extra wide, high volume feet.

Like the Huaraches, these Ballerinas stretch as they break in. That combined with the open weave makes for a wider fit than the regular Huaraches, but not quite extra wide. I personally wear a 6.5 women’s in Huaraches and a 6 in the Woven Ballerinas.
In a half size down they are at first little snug around the opening, but within an hour of wear already start molding to my feet. I am wearing a 6 in the pictures here. If you have wider high volume feet, I do not recommend sizing down like I did.

Restock Info
We use small batch production for our woven products. Each pair is hand woven by artisans in Mexico, where we take pride in paying above average wages and taking extra care of our craftspeople. That means we might sell out fast, but can also restock frequently.
So if your preferred size and color are sold out, hang tight!
