Let’s dive into some fresh new looks for the style-inclined barefoot shoe wearer. (And keep an eye out for the next installment, because there is more to look forward to!)

Are you wishing you could try all the spring shoes on at once? Come to the Barefoot Shoe Expo. Many of these models will be there.

Crupon Sandals

Use code ANYA for 10% off.

Available starting today are 3 new styles of Crupon sandals, and some pretty new colors. And this weekend you can get free shipping, in addition to 10% off with my code! I am particularly excited about the Abbie (fisherman style, above left) – chunky sandals are really in right now.

Also new are two strappy sandals, Fida and Norma, each with an extra wide option (in black). The Norma (above right) is an updated version of the Hippie sandal, which I have worn and loved for the last couple years. So I am excited to see this added to the main inventory. Quality strappy sandals never go out of style.

I have some samples coming to me, so I will be sharing specific fit feedback on the new models soon! In the meantime, check out my previous reviews on Crupon to learn more about the fit and feel.

Wildling Spring

Use code AWN_ANYA for a one-time free shipping offer.

Wildling is bringing the color this spring! The Borba has an orange/pink butterfly print that is so cheery and fun, I couldn’t resist. And it’s ultra light and soft. I have a size 37 and they are roomy and wide fitting, but not extra wide.

And we are also loving the Lago model. In small kid’s sizes it has a fun blue outsole and velcro straps.

But the biggest news from Wildling this spring is their rain boot. Ranidae (rainy day, get it?) is I think the highest quality rain boot we’ve seen in barefoot shoes to date. The toe box is also quite generous without being excessively floppy. They do run on the big side over all – I tried both a 38 and a 37, because I wear a size 38 in a number of Wildling shoes. But in these the 37 is plenty big, and I can even fit in the new thick wool socks also launching tomorrow.

For those of you wondering if they’re extra wide friendly – Samantha tried them on and they fit her too! So great news all around. You can check out the other wide toe box rain boots on the market here.

Rain boot pro tip: Because rubber boots have to be wide enough to get your foot inside, heel slippage is common. I rectify this with stirrup socks!

Vega Espadrilles

Vega Barefoot has been around for a few seasons, and they tend to have really fun and pretty styles. They operate on a preorder basis, which isn’t my favorite (I wish I could try them on before I shared about them!), but I have been wanting an espadrille shoe just like the ones they are offering! I ordered a size 37 and will share more info when I get them, in case there are still any in stock.

Based on my experience with past models, the fit on their Barefoot width is pretty standard and will be best for average width fit. If you are looking for extra wide, they do have some nice models that come in a Barefoot Plus width (not the espadrilles though)!

The quality on these is also medium – they are a cheaper option compared to other high end barefoot dress shoes. It’s a pretty good deal for EU folks! But the shipping cost of 45 Euros to the US kind of canceled out the cheaper base price for me. Again, the style is unique and so pretty, so I still had to have them!

Shapen Playa

Available now is another espadrille style from Shapen – the Playa. This will come in beige and navy, in two widths! Shown above is Regular width, so Wide will be best for those with extra wide feet.

They are the understated but elegant, casual yet sophisticated style I love to elevate my everyday outfits. A more feminine slip-on.

You can use code ANYA5 for 5% off directly from Shapen. We will have them later this spring in the US at Anya’s Shop.

Origo Huarache Woven Mary Janes

Origo and I have been working hard on these basket weave flats and I am so excited about them!! They are delicate, they are elegant, they are comfortable. This is still an early preview, as they won’t be ready until around April. But I couldn’t keep it to myself!

In other huarache news – we have Huarache sandals in wide now, and will be adding a couple new colors to the line up. See my Huarache line with Origo shoes here, and use code ANYA for 10% off.

Mukishoes Clogs & Sandals

Side by side collage of Mukishoes Clogs and double strap buckle barefoot sandals

Mukishoes nailed it with the Soca and Nazare – they are 100% on point in terms of style and the materials are buttery soft and flexible. Even the colors are perfection. These also won’t be available for a few more weeks, but I know many of you are anxiously awaiting styles like this made barefoot friendly.

We’ll be carrying both models in the US at Anya’s Shop! And of course they’ll be available from Mukishoes directly in the EU, where you can use code ANYAMUKI for 10% off.

In the meantime, they have launched the first half of their spring collection already. You can view it here.

  1. I have been scouring your site for the last few days and reading up on recommendations. I am coming off of converse for the last 5 years, and I have been wearing my Manitobah Mukluk harvesters super comfortably, but they are starting to fall apart (they are 10 years old). I think that I have settled on Wildlings for my next pair of barefoot shoes, but I am concerned with the sizing. I have always worn women’s US11 or EU42 (manitobah, converse, dr. martens, naots, crocs, etc etc) — but the measurements I am getting are showing US10 (EU41). Have you noticed any differences between “normal” shoe size and the Wildling shoe size? I haven’t worn a size 10 since I was 12.
Thank you so much for your time =)
